The teaser trailer for the Avengers movie is finally here and it looks suitably epic. Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Captain America. What is not to like? It starts off with a lot of cars being blown up in a US city street. While it’s quite cool I was expecting something a bit grander considering we’re talking about a god and possible aliens as the bad guys. But then this is only a teaser. Maybe in the movie they’ll be blowing up moons and helicarriers for all I know. Thor’s nemesis Loki is glimpsed in the trailer and we get a quick look at the Hulk at the end. When the Hulk is only an after thought in your trailer that’s a good sign. Can a movie have too much awesomeness and still suck? It’s possible but this looks excellent.
I am a big fan of the Star Wars expanded universe books especially the New Jedi Order series. The war with the Yuuzhan Vong is one of my favourite Star Wars stories. The Yuuzhan Vong make excellent bad guys and add a real sense of menace to proceedings. So I was delighted when perusing my local comic shop to find Star Wars Invasion: Revelations in stock. This is more like it. A Transformers comic where you can pick out the bots. This issue focuses on the Autobots left behind on Earth while the rest are off to war on Cybertron. Ultra Magnus, Bumblebee, Prowl and Jazz are left on Earth so it’s a stellar cast. Read More

The Definition of Awesome
To make your own Optimus AT-AT all you need is one Leader class Optimus Prime and any old AT-AT that you have lying around the house. Place Optimus on top of the AT-AT and you’re done.
All over the internet Star Wars fans are getting a bit crazy over the release of the Star Wars Saga on Blu Ray. Not crazy in the good way though. It would appear that George Lucas has gone and made a few more changes to the original trilogy which is pissing off a large number of Star Wars fans. What has he done? Well, he’s added Vader saying Nooo when he’s electrocuting Luke, changed Obi Wans’ Dragon impression, made the Ewoks blink and changed the size of Jabbas palace door. He also replaced the puppet of Yoda in Episode 1 with the CGI version but I doubt anyone will have beef with that. Read More
