Uncanny X-Force Dark Angel Saga: Conclusion #18

The Dark Angel Saga has been an X story worthy of the great classic X-Men stories of old. The last issue delivers big time. Warren Worthington has lost his battle with his murderous Archangel identity and is now in full on Apocalypse mode. X-Force have tracked down a lifeseed from the Age of Apocalypse which can be used to take Warren down and save humanity.
X-Force Dark Angel Saga

Most of X-Force along with their buddies from the Age of Apocalypse have been soundly defeated by Archangel and his AOA henchmen. All that is left to stand against Angel are Fantomex and Psylocke. As has been the case with this run of X-Force the art by Jerome Opena is excellent. Bad art has stopped me reading so many X-Men comics so it’s good to get a good run for a change.

Back to the story. Angel is attempting to turn on a maguffin that will end all life on earth. Fantomex and Psylocke make a last stand as X-Men do. Things get messy and Fantomex ends up being stabbed in the head. I won’t spoil anymore of it for you suffice to say this is a thrilling comic with lots of great twists and turns. It has a truly beautiful ending and If you are a fan of X-Men or just a fan of damn good stories I recommend hunting all of these issues down.
