R2-D2 Character Bio
R2-D2 is an atromech droid first seen aboard the Tantive IV in the 1977 Star Wars movie. R2-D2 is always at the centre of the action in the Star Wars saga. He starts out as an astromech droid on Queen Amidalas' starship where he befriends the young Anakin Skywalker. During the Clone Wars R2 is used by Anakin Skywalker as his astromech droid of choice and sees many battles against the Separatists.
